1) You can download any one of the following clients according to your need:
uTorrent
Azureus,
BitTorrent,
Opera
2) Visit their sites and follow the instructions to download and install the desired torrent client.
3) Now go to a torrent site and search for the torrent you want-software, game, movie anything. Few sites are mininova, torrentz, torrentmatrix etc.
4) You can even use Google Search engine for this purpose. Just add word "Torrent" to your search
criteria.
5) Once you arrive at your desired result, click the link "Download this Torrent" or whatever name the site offers. While downloading the file, browsers file download manager asks you what to do with the file. Whether you want to save the file on your hard disk or open it with the torrent program.
6) If browser does not performs like this then just save the ".torrent" file on you hard disk at a suitable location. Then open the Torrent program and go to the "File" menu and choose "Open Torrent" feature.
7) Select your file and then downloading will start automatically.

Download a file which has plenty of Seeders (Seeds) &' People who have complete copy of the torrents files and are only uploading data to the peers
Leechers (Peers) &' are people who have incomplete portions of the files and are simultaneously uploading as well as downloading.
It has certain risks too like slowdown of your computer system, attack of virus, slowdown of internet speed etc. Thus it must be used with care.
